Colt Gold Cup Elite - Series 80

This is what my Gold Cup looked like before I began customizing it.

This is how the Gold Cup ELite looks after I replaced the blue slide with a stainless steel flat-top Government Model slide.

I have since replaced the Government Model Slide with a Gold Cup National Match slide.

MP Express. This is a clone or copy of a Colt Government Model, Series 70.

This is a VEGA frame with a Para-Ordinance slide.

I have since replaced the blue slide with a stainless steel Colt Government Model slide with Trijicon night sights (see below).

This example also now has King's wide grip safety, extended slide release, extended thumb safety, hex head grip screws, long aluminum trigger and Smith & Alexander stainless arched & checkered mainspring housing.

Here is an example of a Series 70 Colt Government Model that has been butchered.

This gun was found for sale on the Internet for $800.00.
(Customized Colt Series 70 in .38 Super. Bomar sights, stippled front strap, barrel is a half inch over length but appears to be original Colt. Magazine original Colt. Very good to excellent condition.)

This Colt also has a dangerous trigger shoe installed.

I don't know why folks think they can sell a butchered gun for 800 hunnerd dollars on the Internet. I just bought a Series 70 Government Model, new in the box, unfired, original, for $695.00. Get real people!

This is an excellent example of a Lightweight Commander.
This firearm is worth $800.00 when compared to some of the crap people are trying to sell on the Internet.

Now don't get me wrong. I just purchased a beautiful Mauser P-08 on the Internet for a lot of money. But this gun is in original condition in the box (see photo on "Firearms I have Owned" page of this site).
