Below you will see 1911 style autos I built with Colt uppers and Caspian frames.
Before I show you the guns I built on Caspian frames I would like you to see the first 1911 I built.
I put this gun together with a Colt Government Model Slide and a Vega frame.
It is my understanding that Vega out of Sacramento is no longer in existence.
This gun is built on one of the first stainless steel frames.
When I first put this gun together I built it with a Colt .22 Conversion Unit. I later sold the conversion unit but kept
the frame.
Now it is a .45 ACP. This gun has the following components on it:

King's extended thumb safety
King's wide beavertail grip safety
King's hex head grip screws
King's hex head mag catch lock
King's trigger
King's light mag catch spring

Smith & Alexander arched mainspring housing

This is the first gun I built with a Colt Gold Cup Elite Slide and a Caspian frame.
I utilized a Gold Cup Elite slide that was left over when I rebuilt a Gold Cup Elite. I rebuilt that gun with a stainless
slide because I don't really care for two-tone guns.

King's Gun Works in Glendale, California installed the Gold Cup trigger and blued the frame
This gun was built with a Colt .22 Conversion Unit on a Caspian frame.
I found the conversion unit on a Essex frame that was not in the best of shape (you'll see it later).

After I polish the sides of the frame Ray Lynne of Las Vegas will apply his beautiful rich blue finish.
This gun is a stainless Colt Commander slide (.38 super) and Caspian frame.
I purchased the slide from King's Gun Works.
It was built with the following components:

Wilson trigger

I intend to replace the Colt grip safety with a wide grip safety from Wilson.
This gun has a Colt Gold Cup National Match slide and Caspian frame with 20 lpi checkering on the front strap.
